Martha is a continuing member for 30+ years, she was a speech contestant at International held in Vancouver, this was the 1st and only preliminary "impromtu" test held. She has enjoyed being a member in the Greenwood, Quill & Gavel and the Diploettes ITC Clubs. She is currently member to the Powerful Speakers Chapter. She has experienced being an officer on club and council levels.

The Genesis Book which was started by Lavona Moore and Barbara Brown passed on to her and has become a pet project and her intention is to pass this on to another person at the next regional conference. It has been a privilege to continue with this project that was started so many years ago when we were part of the Great Lakes Region, became the Mid-America Region now is the Heart of America Region. It is the history of this region, its councils and clubs.

She and her husband Bill have enjoyed 52 years of married life and visited, when time permited, with their son Kurt in Washington, IN and their daughter Kathy in Norfolk,VA.

She is a members of St.Paul's Lutheran Church and has held several offices, served as VBS and Sunday School teacher.
